Martha Ann Fundraiser

Martha Ann Davis was born on July 26th, 4lbs 11oz in Dothan Al. She was experiencing seizures immediate, first sent to Montgomery then Birmingham. Once finally controlled and able to receive an MRI we learned her diagnosis, Lissencephaly.

 This genetic brain condition affects approximately 1 in 100,000 children. There is no cure, way to prevent or even detect it prior to birth. It is characterized by a smooth brain; the folds never develop. This significantly decreases the brain's surface area and in turn the child's development. No two cases are identical and we won't know how the condition will affect her until each milestone approaches. 

Martha Ann specifically has struggled with epilepsy since birth, has a G-tube for feedings, is on oxygen as well as 2 at home monitors and 8 medications. After spending a little over 2 months in the NICU our family is finally home and adjusting to our new normal. It is our hope that these shirts will support awareness to Lissencephaly. Every purchase goes towards supporting her needs. We appreciate all the support and prayers.
